Paper Pumpkins and Other Scary Possibilities on Neenah Paper

Written by in Inspire

It was during the holidays of 2004, shopping for holiday cards with my wife, that I said something like, “hey, I’m a designer – I need to be making these myself – not buying them off of a shelf.” And every year since I wonder if I made the right decision, or if it would be easier to just buy them again. If I ever go back to the purchasing, I feel much better seeing designers creating much more unique  designs (and on wonderful Neenah paper to boot) than the ones I found at the local store all those years ago.

And for a few Halloween cards to start off the seasons with, try these three that we were introduced to through the official Neenah Paper facebook page.

Happenstance Creations has an Etsy store full of crabs/bears/roosters/and love that show a passion for their art.

This pumpkin (shown above) is warning me : pumpkin flavored everything is on the way! I wouldn’t eat this card, but I’d be happy to mail it to my “Pumpkin.”

All paper note cards, invitations, gift enclosures and Personalized Tented Name Place Cards are printed on either Classic Laid or Sundance Felt

And for those of us who think Halloween is more fun than Valentines’s day? Let’s combine them with this wonderful card from Power and Light PressEtsy store.

There are too many holidays for my taste, I absolutely love the thought of combining a few of these. Is an Arbor Day / Columbus Day merger far behind? Until then, I’ll be happy with this Bat Love card.

All the Power and Light Press non-chipboard cards are printed on Neenah paper

It can also be as simple as this design by dmfi designs, and available on their Etsy shop.

A custom name (or I assume word) that says Halloween? Order here in pumpkin or harvest color.

Design by Erin Brain Stead
dmfi cards are primarily on Neenah Solar White in Classic Crest (and sometimes the Classic Linen)

Next month it’ll be all turkeys and cornucopias. Or do we just merge that with the December dates? Is a Turkey Clause just around the corner? I think I may have my By a Show of Hands entry idea ready for Rule29 early!
