Exploring New Directions on Neenah Digital

Written by in Collections

Useful Tool Opens New Digital Horizons

Neenah Papers has introduced EXPLORE, the first in a series of tools for designers and printers to demonstrate how colored, textured papers can be used imaginatively for short-run, digital print applications. The samples include a folder, hangtag, coaster, box, door hanger, table tent and brochure, all printed on an HP Indigo 7000 on a wide variety of Neenah Digital Papers.

Jumping on the fastest growing travel trend, glamping (glamour + camping = glamping), the samples in EXPLORE  present applications a high-end hideaway might use. Each piece shows different and unique creative design, production and print possibilities, more than a dozen design techniques in all.

For example, this unique product hangtag combines two contrasting paper stocks, a shimmery Esse Cover, Pearlized Silver, with Oxford Cover White to show a creative way to double a brand’s exposure and bring a dimension of “touch” to the tag.

Speaking of doubling, this two-sided doorhanger, on STARDREAM Gold, can be an effective marketing tool for hotels and inns, not to mention door-to-door community campaigns.

Who knew packaging and box wraps could be printed on a digital press?  This charming little box was printed on Astrobrights Solar Yellow. You’ll have to see the piece to see how the raised print was done (hint, not thermography).

There’s way more samples in EXPLORE to stimulate your creativity, not to mention free custom dielines which you are invited to download, free, right here, right now: We hope that by providing the tools – design ideas, paper colors, textures, print combinations and (free!) dielines, you’ll have what you need at your fingertips. Copies of EXPLORE are available through your Neenah rep.
