Dear Against the Grain Readers,

Six hours to a New Year. Last post of 2015. Most images in one post EVER!

On behalf of the contributors at Against the Grain from Neenah Paper, I want to thank you for your support and you a safe New Year’s Eve and Happy New Year in 2016.

This year was the best ever for Against the Grain, with more followers, “Likes”, comments, and page views than ever before. We feel that the reason for our  Against the Grain’s growing numbers is simple: You. You provide us the content, inspiration, ideas, and reasons to celebrate. We are grateful.

Since this blog launched more than six years ago, we endeavor to provide an objective, jouralist-driven, digital forum that any communication professional (e.g. art directors, designers, writers, printers, brand managers, photographers, film makers, illustrators, etc.) can use,  reference, and enjoy.

As a communication of Neenah Paper, it is important that Against the Grain share with you news of Neenah product launches, updates, news, contests and special promotions. But we know your trust and viewership requires us to bring you more than Neenah’s news. You want inspiration and new ideas, new faces and new methods, trusted voices and journalistic integrity. For that, we need you more than ever: we welcome your anecdotes, samples, examples, and evidence of great packaging, retail design, color, texture, printing, craft, preservation, community good, and sustainability.

We hope that Against the Grain continues to be an unbridled celebration of the astonishing wealth of talent, skill, character, and innovative thinking.  In the coming year, we will bring you new voices from notable design and arts journalists to keep you viewing, liking, engaged, and connected. You are our audience, our focus, our purpose, our inspiration. We are grateful to you.

Happy New Year!
