Nothing is better than a real mailbox full of real holiday greeting cards on paper, right?! OK — maybe chocolate chip cookies and milk is better — but nothing else is. Have you ordered your holiday greet cards? There are many delightful, beautiful cards available from small stationers and letterpress shops and online stores such as ETSY. We asked design and paper readers to submit samples... here are a few they sent. Got a design you care to share? Send it to the Card Elf, Donovan Beery of Eleven19 in Omaha, NB (donovan@eleven19.com). He will post a few more between now and New Year's. Keep it real this holiday season.

More Seasonal Greeting Cards on Neenah Paper

Last month we looked at some wonderful cards to celebrate the holiday seasons. The thing with the holidays though – as they get closer, the bats and pumpkins leave and are replaced with a huge abundance of all things red and green. With that said, there is still some great holiday card designing being done on Neenah paper.

Above is a letterpress card from the Etsy shop of paper & spice.

What designer doesn’t have a soft spot for all things letterpressed and geometric?

Design by Mihaela Hinayon
Printed on Crane’s Lettra® 110lb

And for those against geometry? Trees in glorious paint can be just as sweet!

Push the Envelope Studios shows that a painted forest card can make me want to pull the paints out of the cupboard this holiday break.

Design by Caroline Smalley
Printed on Neenah Classic Crest® Paper (Eggshell Finish)

Even things as simple as holly really pop when screenprinted. Katie Blair Designs is behind this and many other fun designs on her Etsy shop. And the gold is a nice touch on this beauty.

Design by Kate Carpenter
Printed on Neenah Classic Crest® 100% Recycled Bright White 110lb cover

And what says more about giving back and helping those less fortunate than the tagline for JK Designs – “Two enterprising women committed to saving the USPS one card at a time.”

With an Etsy store backing them up, and a message of Peace, let’s hope that they do.

Design by Jean Dunning and Karen Gumkowski
Printed on Neenah Classic Crest® 100% Recycled Bright White Linen 80lb cover

And Gobsmack’d Greeting Cards uses an eco-friendly approach, and a love of humor to bring in the holiday love. Also available on Etsy.

Will December designs bring us more snowflakes? More gingerbread? More Christmas bats? We shall see. If you have holiday card designs (must be printed on Neenah Paper) to share (including New Years), send them my way [donovan@eleven19.com] for next month’s holiday card update!
